One of the most common questions I get is “What’s the right order to read your Rangers series in?” With multiple books already published and a few more on the way, I thought I’d take a moment to clarify how the Rangers Lead the Way series and the Rangers O’Conner storyline are connected — and how they’re meant to be read.
Let’s break it down.
The Rangers Lead the Way Series
This series follows the gritty, boots-on-the-ground journey of the U.S. Army Rangers during World War II. The WWII books currently available are:
- Rangers, North Africa
- Rangers, Italy
- Rangers, Normandy
- Rangers, Germany
Each of these books explores a different campaign, bringing to life the courage, camaraderie, and chaos experienced by the Rangers in some of WWII’s most brutal theatres.
Enter: Rangers O’Conner
Rangers O’Conner is both a standalone character-driven story and a key bridge within the larger Rangers saga. It’s officially Book 1 in the Rangers O’Conner subseries — but chronologically, it falls between “Rangers, Italy” and “Rangers, Normandy” in the main series timeline.
This book dives deep into the life of O’Conner, one of the most pivotal and complex characters in the Rangers universe. It adds layers to the events that unfold in the main series and provides a more personal lens on the war.
Recommended Reading Order (So Far)
